AirFrance has introduced a brand new 48-seat business class cabin for its Boeing 777-300, featuring full aisle access, privacy doors, wireless charging and 6ft 5in flatbeds.
Additionally, the new left-turn offering features mid-cabin seats equipped with a central panel that can be lowered to create a “social space” for passengers traveling together.
Also of note is a 17.3-inch 4K high-definition anti-glare screen that passengers can enjoy with a noise-reducing headset. If they bring their own headphones, they can connect to the system via Bluetooth or a power outlet.
The seats are finished in wool, brushed aluminum and full-grain French leather.
The 48-seat Premium Economy cabin is also new for the 777, but not AirFrance – It is the same setup that the airline uses on its Airbus A350.

Here, each seat offers 38 inches of legroom, 124-degree recline, USB A and C ports, and a 13.3-inch 4K high-definition screen with Bluetooth connectivity.
The Economy cabin, on the other hand, has 273 seats, which impressively have the same 13.3-inch screen as Premium Economy, but the legroom is 79 cm and the tilt is 119 degrees.
Air France pointed out that as customers board the plane, they are greeted by a backlit winged seahorse, “embodying the company’s founding myth and rich history.”
The first Boeing 777 to feature the new cabins flew from Paris-Charles de Gaulle to New York-JFK on January 20, and the remodeled aircraft will also now serve Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and Dakar, Senegal.

Touring the new cabin ahead of its entry into service, The Points Guy UK commented: “Rather than reinventing the wheel with their new business class product, Air France has taken an already solid product and added more modern touches.”

The Points Guy UK was given a tour of the new cabin before it entered service and commented: “Rather than reinventing the wheel with their new business class product, Air France took an already solid product and added more modern touches – along with a few beautiful color accents.
“Things like wireless charging, 4K monitors and in-seat doors make this a desirable and competitive product. And everyone on the plane will benefit from some of these improvements – at least in the monitors and Bluetooth audio pairing system.”
Air France said: “Thanks to this new major step in Air France’s upward movement, all of the company’s long-haul business cabins will have seats that convert into full-flat beds by the end of 2023, compared to 90 percent today. By that date, the entire fleet will also have onboard WiFi, compared to 97 percent today.”
