Fofana, 21, signed for Chelsea sign a seven-year contract on Wednesday.
Leicester boss Brendan Rodgers had said the move would affect them “Environment and Stability” in the club.
“Thanks to the coaches, to the coach who has always appreciated me, even if he’s been embarrassing me a lot lately,” said Fofana.
“I have chosen not to communicate during this transfer window, despite all the criticism and all the often false and misleading comments, even if they came from the club,” continued Fofana.
“I understood and learned. I didn’t want to damage the image of the institution and I decided to take it instead of answering.”
The Frenchman was left out of Leicester’s squad for the Premier League games against Southampton and Chelsea in August amid reports of interest from Stamford Bridge.
Rodgers said at the time the defender was “not in the right mood to play,” adding, “There’s a lot going on behind the scenes, which I understand. It’s a difficult moment for him. He is a good boy. He’s been great for us while he’s been here.”
