As revealed by sports mail, Chelsea weighed a move with “preliminary” requests while arsenalManchester United and man city were linked.

However, Gnabry has now decided to stay at Bayern under new conditions. His extension was announced during a team presentation this afternoon.
Upon signing the contract, the former Arsenal man said Bavaria: “I’ve thought a lot about what I want as a player for the next few years – and I’ve come to the conclusion: I want to stay at FC Bayern, win everything here again and experience something – especially the Champions League again.
“Celebrating titles, but this time with our fans. It’s something special because here I can play at the highest level with my friends. I certainly wouldn’t experience that at any other club. Here I would like to experience great moments again – and not somewhere else. The hunger for big titles never goes away.”
Julian Nagelsmann got the best out of Gnabry last season with 14 league goals
Gnabry played his first professional football at Arsenal and was brought into the Gunners academy as a teenager in 2013 before Arsene Wenger seemed to lose faith in him and sent him on loan to West Brom in February 2016.
He then moved to Werder Bremen in 2018 before joining Bayern a year later, where he developed into a world-class player.
Gnabry has won 12 major trophies with Bayern, including four Bundesliga titles, one Champions League and the Club World Cup. Gnabry has had a brilliant career in Germany.
Last season, he scored 14 goals and provided six assists for Julian Nagelsmann’s team in 34 Bundesliga games – his best tally in the league.
