New Chelsea Forward Raham Sterling won the fan base of his new club early in his career at Stamford Bridge after refusing to sign one Manchester City shirt while engaging with fans on the blues’ preseason tour of America.
In a new video, Sterling can be seen signing autographs and posing for photos with fans eager to catch a glimpse of Chelsea’s new star.
When a spectator handed the England striker a Manchester City shirt to autograph, Sterling paused before ignoring the garment and moving on to more photos.
Cheers could be heard from Chelsea fans in attendance – Sterling delighted Blues supporters with his rejection just days after moving from City.

Chelsea are currently in the States for pre-season and have started their preparation for the new Premier League season with a 2-1 win over Club America in the early hours.
Timo Werner and Mason Mount were on the scoresheet and despite a comical Reece James own goal, the Blues had an ideal start to the Tour.
Sterling was the only player to engage with fans in the video, which now has nearly 90,000 views on TikTok and over a million views on Twitter.
Fans responded to the video on Reddit with a mocking Chelsea flop by Romelu Lukaku, who expressed his desire to return to former club Inter Milan while he was still a Chelsea player last season.

His relationship with the fans and the club soured and the Belgian returned to Inter on loan earlier in this window.
One user commented, “Lukaku would have signed, dressed it and kissed it[ed] the badge’ and received 17 upvotes for the gag.
Others questioned the motive and rules behind the swap, with one user asking, “Why do people keep doing this to players who just swapped? Is it just about the clicks the video gets?’
Another commented: “I’m not sure if players are allowed to autograph goods that aren’t their employers’.”
Chelsea will continue their tour when they take on Charlotte at Bank of America Stadium on Thursday morning.
