Newcastle are weighing a £20m bid for Jack Harrison but Leeds will resist more… and they could sign PSG striker Arnaud Kalimuendo with goalkeeper Kiko Casilla potentially heading to Spain
- Leeds received offers for Jack Harrison from the Premier League side in January
- The Premier League side already lost Raphinha to Barcelona this summer
- The 25-year-old is admired by Newcastle boss Eddie Howe for his work ethic
- PSG striker Arnaud Kalimuendo is among those targeted by the Yorkshire side
Newcastle United are ready to offer around £20m leeds Versatile midfielder Jack Harrison, although the offer falls short of the Yorkshire club’s assessment of the player.
The 25-year-old is admired by the Newcastle boss Eddie Howe for his attitude and work ethic and would fit better into their financial plans than a £60m+ bid for Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby.
Eddie Howe continues to build his side after their revival mid last season, which saw them rise after being taken over for the big bucks.

Newcastle are considering an offer for Leeds winger Jack Harrison, with Eddie Howe a huge admirer

Howe and Newcastle ideally want a right winger but Harrison is adept on either flank
After initially enjoying a successful loan at the club, Harrison was signed for £11.5million by Messianic manager Marcelo Bielsa and quickly established himself as one of their key players.
As a result, the club have been busy brushing aside offers for Harrison and they will be looking to hold out for a higher fee than the £20m Newcastle are preparing after already losing winger Raphinha to Barcelona.
The former Manchester City midfielder can play both at full-back and at both sides and it’s this versatility that has attracted the interest of so many clubs.

Leeds continue talks with Paris St Germain for striker Arnaud Kalimuendo and are looking to sack goalkeeper Kiko Casilla amid interest from Spain.
Kalimuendo impressed while on loan at Lens and it’s no surprise he’s attracting interest outside the Parc des Princes.
In two years at Lens, France Under-21 international Kalimuendo scored 21 goals and added six assists in 65 appearances.

Kiko Casilla won three Champions League titles in four years at Spanish giants Real Madrid
Kalimuendo’s versatility in attack is also likely to appeal to Leeds, who aren’t the only suitors interested in packing the young forward.
He’s comfortable as a traditional No. 9 forward, but has also shown that he can play as a No. 10 behind strikers and play on the flank as well.
Leeds are also interested in free agent Juan Mata but are not pursuing a deal at the moment, as is a move for Stoke’s Josh Tymon as cover for injured left-back Junior Firpo, who is out for eight weeks.

Kalimuendo was on loan to Lens for two years and has proved a hit with fans
