Folau Fainga’a bent forward but England’s defense withstood late pressure to keep the hosts at bay.
Steward, propsman Ellis Genge and scrum-half Jack van Poortvliet, a core of Premiership champions Leicester, jumped for joy when the referee’s whistle blew.
