A woman was killed and a man suffered life-changing injuries after a dog attack, police said.
The incident happened around 10pm last night in Rotherham, South Yorkshire and the 43-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
South Yorkshire Police said a 42-year-old man has been taken to hospital with a potentially life-changing hand injury.

He also sustained injuries to his hand, stomach and face in the attack, the force said.
Two dogs were confiscated by officers and removed from the property.
South Yorkshire Police said both are not considered “prohibited breeds” under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
