A transgender Inmate who got two inmates pregnant New Jerseys only women’s prison has been moved to a men’s prison, where she is being held in a vulnerable unit.
Demi Minor, who is serving a 30-year sentence for stabbing her former foster father, was transferred from Edna Mahan Correctional Facility to Garden State Youth Correctional Facility in June.
The 27-year-old minor complains that she was misgendered and abused during the transfer by guards and even placed under suicide watch after attempting to hang herself during her transfer to the GSCF.
In a post on her blog Justice 4 Demi, Minor claimed that she was attacked by correctional officers, one of whom taunted her when she asked to be strip searched by a woman. In a separate post, she claimed to have been hit during the transfer.
She said she was briefly held at the New Jersey State Penitentiary, where guards allegedly called her “a he” over 30 times.
The juvenile case gained notoriety in April when the New Jersey Department of Corrections revealed that he had impregnated two fellow inmates at Edna Mahan Correctional Facility.

The 27-year-old minor said she was placed on suicide watch for attempting to hang herself while being transferred to the GSCF (pictured).
The inmate also said that while she was allowed to keep her makeup, she knew it was “a death wish” to wear it.
“I have accepted that I am in a male institution, but I have not, and will never, agree or accept that I am anything other than a woman who happens to be transgender,” Minor wrote.
In a scathing blog post, Minor accused guards of abusing and threatening her.
On one occasion, a guard said to her, “I don’t give a shit what you’re doing…there’s no camera here…everyone here is a man, including you,” Minor claimed.
The minor was briefly held in the New Jersey State Penitentiary where she said other troubling incidents had taken place.
‘[The department of corrections] violated my right to safety and freedom from sexual harassment by putting me in one of the most violent juvenile detention centers,” Minor wrote.
“While living here at GYSC I have been attacked by young inmates who are immature and just plain ignorant of a person like me.”

Minor pleaded guilty to manslaughter and auto theft when she appeared in a New Jersey courtroom when she was 16. She is serving a 30-year sentence

Minor said it was removed by Edna Mahan “as punishment for what happened over two months ago.
“They violated my right to safety and freedom from sexual harassment by putting me in one of the most violent juvenile detention centers,” she claimed.
The transgender inmate said she was also assaulted by “ignorant” younger inmates.
She said: “On Saturday, I was in the medication line when an inmate cut in front of me and said, ‘I don’t stand behind no fag’.” The inmate th[e]I spit right in my direction.’
She accused the DOC of causing her irreparable psychological damage by exposing her to these triggering situations.
“I don’t know what it’s like to live as a man and I refuse to ever go back to such habits or behavior,” Minor wrote.
Minor also complained that the facility had no air conditioning or wiring, and didn’t allow video visits or LGBTQ groups.
“…yet they said I’m here for safety, no please understand I’m here to be punished, only the sad part is that punishment could kill me,” complained Minor.
“Mentally I wasn’t myself and I’m losing my essence. The demi who wants to put on makeup and hang out with her girlfriends is not allowed here.

Minor was removed from Edna Mahan after it was revealed she had impregnated two inmates.
The 800-inmate Mahan facility began housing transgender women — including those who have yet to undergo sex reassignment surgery — last year after a lawsuit filed by an inmate and the ACLU. It now has 27 trans prisoners.
A source familiar with the prison told DailyMail.com that cell doors are left open during off-hours, so inmates can theoretically use those times to sneak into each other’s cells or slip into a bathroom for quick sex.
Minor was just 16 when she broke into Theotis Butts’ home in Gloucester Township, New Jersey.
Butts had taken her in as a foster child, but Minor was no longer living with him, according to a report at the time NJ.com.
She stabbed Butts, 69, multiple times and then fled to New York, where she was arrested.
She was also convicted of auto theft. She approached a couple – whose young son was in their Pontiac Grand Prix at the time – and pointed a Glock .45 at the woman’s face. The couple retrieved their baby from the car before Minor sped off with it.
Minors began transitioning into females in 2020 and were transferred to Mahan from the male prison system.
Since her incarceration, Minor has attempted to turn her life around by becoming something of a prison attorney, standing up for other prisoners and representing her unit on the Inmate Liaison Committee.
