In an Instagram video taken after the evacuation, Robinson said: “I’m safe. I’m cool,” while describing the moments of chaos as the incident unfolded.
“I perform at the Comedy Zone in Charlotte, North Carolina. There was an active shooter at the comedy club,” Robinson said in the video.
“It was wild, I was in the Green Room and they were like, ‘Everyone out!’ It was a moment for sure.’
Robinson said he and others at the comedy club were relocated to a nearby venue where the band Big Time Rush was performing.
“So they brought us here. There’s a concert going on, so I thought I’d just share it with y’all,” Robinson said, filming the crowd enjoying the concert.
Robinson’s show was canceled and not continued after the shooter was arrested.
“He swung a firearm into the store, which was quickly evacuated,” police said, “the suspect then released his gun. There were no injuries and the suspect was taken into custody.’
