A stockbroker who was driving his new Audi R8 sports car at 230 km/h has been banned for two years.
James Linton, 24, had previously been issued a Section 59 warning after he was arrested on the same day he drove the black Audi on March 7.
However, Linton ignored the warning and was driven at 141mph on the A27 in Hangleton, West Sussex, a month later on April 7.
Officers arrested Linton, of Worthing, West Sussex, the next day and impounded his valuable vehicle.
Worthing Magistrates Court today gave him a two-year driving ban and ordered a re-examination before he can request the return of his licence.
He was also sentenced to a 12-week suspended sentence and ordered to do 300 hours of unpaid community service.

A security camera crew spotted Linton traveling at dangerous speeds on April 7 and began tracking his movements.
The self-employed stockbroker was seen undertaking a vehicle at 86 mph as he approached an exit for Devil’s Dyke on the eastbound carriageway at 6.45pm.
Then, two minutes later, he was traveling in the opposite direction on the westbound lane, where an officer measured his speed at 141 mph.
Police pursued Linton in Worthing the next day and he was arrested. He admitted he was the driver at the time of the offences, but said he had no recollection of speeding.

Linton was subsequently charged with dangerous driving and two speeding offenses of 86mph and 141mph on the A27.
Police Officer Stephen Watson said: “Linton showed total disregard for other motorists when he reached dangerous speeds on the A27.
“Our speed camera showed him smiling inside the vehicle but he wasn’t so cheerful when he was stopped the next day and asked to hand over the keys.
“This case demonstrates our determination to catch motorists who break the law. Linton was endangering his own safety and the safety of other road users with his reckless driving.
“Speeding is one of the main reasons why we humans are killed or seriously injured in road traffic accidents.
“We are therefore pleased that a dangerous driver has been taken off our roads.”
