Such a flare! Gabby Logan rushes to victory at the Fashion Euros… with help from Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham
England’s Lionesses have garnered praise for their stylish football Euro 2022but it is BBC the designer wardrobe of tournament presenter Gabby Logan, which scores with fashion-conscious viewers.
Her penchant for flared pants while hosting coverage has prompted a flurry of comments on social media, with a striking yellow pair being a particular hit among the six she’s modeled to date.
The Mail on Sunday is able to reveal that the 49-year-old channel’s fashion favorites include clothes by upscale designers Stella McCartney and Victoria Beckham but also items from the high street chain Reiss.
The star, one of BBC’s most popular sports presenters, spent time with her stylist choosing additions to her tournament wardrobe just before the opening match, paying for everything out of pocket.

Gabby Logan has also recycled previous outfits from her wardrobe for this year’s Women’s Championship
The eye-catching yellow flared trousers she wore with a matching jacket in England’s 8-0 win over Norway were by Ms McCartney and cost £1,800 at London’s Harvey Nichols department store.
The outfit, Gabby says, is an “investment” that she can use for future broadcast jobs as well. So it’s a relief that it’s proved so popular with viewers. One posted on social media: “Those were one hell of pants you wore.”

Another fan joked that the torches could have been carried by a 1976 Eurovision winning squad. “Gabby Logan’s pants are flared so they wouldn’t look out of place in Brotherhood of Man,” they wrote.
Gabby has also worn two £195 plaid bell-bottoms from London-based brand ME+EM and two from Sandro, priced at £240, in purple and pink.
She wore the pink ones in England’s 5-0 win over Northern Ireland on Friday, along with another yellow blazer – a £399 number from Maje – a sleeveless blouse from Jigsaw and a pair of Russell & Bromley heels. She opted for a £450 sweater from Ms Beckham for Norway’s clash with Northern Ireland earlier this month.
But last Tuesday, Gabby decided to forgo her recent purchases. Because it was too hot for pants, she relied on an old favorite, a Greek-style dress she bought at Reiss years ago.
Her stylist, Charlotte Handley Green, said Gabby made a last-minute decision to look into her wardrobe for something cooler that she could recycle.
“We had a Facetime call because Gabby couldn’t have worn what we had planned,” she told the Mail on Sunday. “She found the beautiful dress that is several years old. She tried it on but it was a little low-cut so we put a camisole underneath.
Ms Handley Green said she chose to pair it with a belt Gabby wore for the Sports Personality of the Year show by Roksana, one of Kate Middleton’s favorite designers.
The presenter also regularly wears Gucci block heels, which she bought two years ago, as well as old favorites from Gianvito Rossi.
The fashion choices of Gabby’s presenting colleagues were also impressive, with former England player Fara Williams receiving many admiring comments for her colorful pantsuits.
