
Take things out of the app! Snapchat for WEB is launched – users can call and send messages from their computers

- Once you’re signed in, you can call and message your friends over the Internet
- The tool will initially be rolled out to Snapchat+ subscribers in the US, UK and Canada, and to all users in Australia and New Zealand
It is the most popular social media app for many people around the world, and it is now Snapchat has announced the launch of its newest feature – Snapchat for the web.
As the name suggests, Snapchat for Web allows users to call and message their friends from the internet.
“With so many in our community spending more time online, whether it’s for remote learning or working, streaming, or just browsing – we saw a great opportunity to make it easier for our community to stay connected throughout the day, and we can’t wait to bring our favorite basic Snapchat features to the web,” said a Snap spokesperson.

To access Snapchat for web, users can go to web.snapchat.com and log in with their usual Snapchat username and password.
Once you’re logged in, you can pick up your conversations where you left off on the mobile app.
‘[Users] will be able to use all of their favorite features of messaging on our mobile app, like chat reactions, chat replies, and coming soon, lenses for video calls,” Snap explained.
“Snapchatters will also be able to send Snaps directly from their computer.”
Snap says Snapchat for the web “like all of our products” was built with privacy and security in mind.
It added, “We’re launching with a unique privacy screen that hides the Snapchat window when you click away for another task.”
The tool will initially be rolled out to Snapchat+ subscribers in the US, UK, and Canada, and to all users in Australia and New Zealand, but will eventually be rolled out to all users.
Snapchat+ is Snapchat’s £3.99 per month subscription service that offers exclusive and “experimental” features not available to standard users.
Aside from Snapchat for Web, Snapchat Plus includes six new and exclusive features.

To access Snapchat for Web, users can go to web.snapchat.com and log in with their usual Snapchat username and password
This includes the “Rewatch Indicator,” which shows how many people are rewatching Stories — the photos and videos that are posted to a user’s feed.
Custom App Icons lets Snapchat Plus users choose from a variety of Snapchat app icon designs for their home screen, including an LGBT-friendly rainbow icon and a Ukrainian flag icon related to Russiawar against the country.
Meanwhile, Best Friends Forever gives Snapchat Plus users a chance to pin a friend as their best “BFF.”
Snapchat Plus is available in the UK, US, Canada, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, although it will be expanded to users in more countries “over time”.
