A man in his 30s was shot dead through a car window Melbourne on Wednesday afternoon after a fight between three men.
The shooting took place in the city’s South Morang suburb and sparked a huge police response.
“A firearm was fired into a car window,” said Adam West, chief police officer with Victoria Police.
“Two of the men got into a vehicle and drove away. The other man, believed to be in his 30s, suffered minor injuries and was treated at the scene by emergency workers.”

The shooting is believed to have taken place after three men engaged in an altercation.
It is not known how many shots were fired.
Armed Criminal Investigation investigators and local officials are investigating the shooting.
