Sami chat with TMZ on Thursday at Beverly Hills restaurant Il Pastaio, where she was billed after being received by her parents.
“I’m super grateful, I have a supportive mum by my side,” Sami said, adding that her dad “didn’t” particularly come up with the idea, “not too much.”
The Latest: Sami Sheen, 18, the eldest daughter of Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards, told TMZ on Thursday that her father doesn’t support her having an OnlyFans account, but that her mother does
When asked about Charlie, 56’s lack of support for having the account, Sami said: “I don’t mind, it’s totally fine,” later adding that it was a “personal” issue to which she would rather not go into detail about it.
Sami said she was “happy” for her mum, who also opened a page on the site, adding, “I don’t mind at all… I’m super happy, she’s doing really well.”
Sami said there is more “stigma around” bikini pics posted on OnlyFans than there is on Instagram.
“Everyone thinks it’s just for raunchy stuff, but you can post whatever you want there,” she said. “I just do my own thing and see if people like it or not. I just love the creative side of it and the opportunity to make my own decisions and be my own boss.
Sheen has issued mixed messages about his feelings about Sami having the side, first saying he didn’t condone it, later saying he was supportive
Richards, pictured in NYC in 2019, is “doing really well” with her account after launching it, Sami said
Family: Lola Sheen, Charlie Sheen, Sami Sheen and Denise Richards were seen in a group photo last year
The Two-and-a-Half Men alum and Richards, 51, were married from 2002 to 2006 and are also parents to daughter Lola, 17, while Richards is also a mother to adopted daughter Eloise, 11.
Charlie has posted mixed messages about his feelings about Sami having the site, he said AND! news in a statement last month: “I don’t condone this, but since I can’t help it, I’ve urged them to keep it stylish, creative and not sacrifice their integrity. She is now 18 years old and lives with her mother. This did not happen under my roof.’
Sheen later clarified his remarks and recounted Us weekly in a statement that he supports Sami’s efforts.
“Denise highlighted a number of salient points that I missed and dismissed in my haste,” he said. “Now it’s more important than ever that Sami can count on a united parental front as she embarks on this new adventure. From this moment on she will have plenty of it.’
Earlier this week, Richards spoke out E! News’ Daily Popand explains how she feels there is unnecessary stigma on OnlyFans, unlike other social media sites.
“A lot of us have posted pictures of ourselves in bikinis or something that might come off as risqué on Instagram,” Richards said. “And if my daughter posts a picture of herself in a bathing suit on OnlyFans, why should she get backlash but not on Instagram?”
She said the criticism of Sami was “very unfair” given that as an adult she was “able to do what she wants to do”.
