Meghan Markle watched Kate Middleton for inspiration last night as she donned a £4,000 monochromatic jumpsuit that was nearly identical to a dress her sister-in-law wore earlier this year.
That Duchess of Sussex40 who is currently living on her $14 million California Villa, who has stepped down from royal duties, joined her husband the Duke, 37, in New York yesterday.
The royals spent Monday night with friends at Locanda Verde, chef Andrew Carmellini’s Tribeca hotspot, just hours after Harry delivered a politically charged speech United Nations Event honoring Nelson Mandela.
Meghan opted for a striking black and white strapless jumpsuit by Gabriela Hearst for the occasion, which she paired with black stiletto heels and a red bag.
The mother-of-two’s look was strikingly similar to that of her sister-in-law, the Duchess of Cambridge, 40, in May, when she stepped out in a £2,700 black Roland Mouret dress with an identical white strap detail at the Top Gun: Maverick premiere.

The Top Gun dress was the boldest look Kate has worn to an event since turning heads at William during a fashion show at St Andrews University, where she donned a skimpy see-through dress that showed off her underwear.
The form-fitting dress accentuated the Duchess’ figure, and her slingback hair and cleverly applied body shimmer drew attention to her toned arms and chiseled shoulders.
She looked radiant in Roland Mouret’s off the shoulder gown, £2,300 Alexander McQueen clutch and £10,500 Robinson Pelham diamond earrings as she made her glamorous entrance on the red carpet.
The royal mother-of-three wore her brunette tresses in an elegant parting and opted for dramatic dark eye makeup and slick pink lipstick.

The dress, with its striking black form-fitting silhouette and bold white strap across the bodice, was nearly identical to the look Meghan opted for in New York last night.
According to his online description, her £4,000 jumpsuit featured a “bold silhouette” and the brand’s “signature knot detailing” at the back.
Meanwhile, the “fitting, strapless jumpsuit” also has a “slight flare that can be seen toward the hem of the pants, making for a flattering look.”
The Duchess of Sussex wore dainty gold earrings, her $350,000 Triology engagement ring and wedding band, and Princess Diana’s $23,000 Cartier fuel gauge in her third outfit of the day.

The pair left the trendy Ristorante, where hand-in-hand it’s easy to rack up a bill of $85 a person
Harry sported a more casual look in black jeans, a navy shirt – with his arms rolled up – and gray suede trainers. He also accessorized him with two separate bracelets and a necklace, mostly hidden by his shirt.
The Duke’s relaxed appearance was in stark contrast to his keynote address at the UN General Assembly, in which he outlined the Supreme Court’s Roe v. to overthrow Wade as a “global attack on democracy and freedom”.
Harry and Meghan’s dining experience came after the Duke addressed delegates on climate change and poverty during a two-hour meeting at the United Nations on Monday.
Despite the event set to be held to celebrate Nelson Mandela Day, the prince launched an attack on American politics during his keynote address.

Earlier in the day, the Duchess donned a $1,590 Givenchy patch pocket skirt as she appeared alongside her husband as he appeared as the keynote speaker at the UN General Assembly

Meanwhile, she wore a pair of trendy navy blue shorts as she walked out hand in hand with Gloria Steinem
He said: “This has been a painful year in a painful decade. We are living through a pandemic that continues to devastate communities in all parts of the world.
“Climate change is wreaking havoc on our planet, with the most vulnerable suffering the most. The few armed lies and disinformation at the expense of the many.
“And from the horrific war in Ukraine to the roll-back of constitutional law in the US, we are witnessing a global assault on democracy and freedom, the cause of Mandela’s life.”
Harry has also blasted the “rollback of constitutional rights” and criticized SCOTUS for its decision to lift federal protections on abortion.
The comments, heard Monday morning in a largely empty room at the United Nations, were the latest broadside from US politicians.
They followed Meghan’s recent remarks to Vogue magazine, in which she joined famous feminist icon Gloria Steinem in urging men to be “louder” with their anger at the decision to oust Roe.
