what is Prince Harry do?
I mean, what does Prince Harry ever do, but what did he really do this morning?
In a keynote speech on the Monday before United Nations At the General Assembly marking Nelson Mandela International Day, Prince Harry chose to condemn the United States for “contributing to a global assault on democracy and freedom.”
It was a rambling, unfocused speech.
According to Prince Harry, some of the worst disasters plaguing the world right now include the coronavirus pandemic, climate change, lies and disinformation, the war in Ukraine and… the Supreme Court decision overturning Roe v Wade.
Or at least that’s what led his audience to believe.
“From the appalling war in Ukraine to the rolling back of a constitutional right in the US, we are witnessing a global assault on democracy and freedom – the cause of Mandela’s life,” he rumbled in his nearly 30-minute remarks.
Forgiveness?
Which one isn’t like the other?
COVID has killed more than 6.3 million people worldwide. The war in Ukraine has killed tens of thousands. And the Supreme Court made a decision consistent with a widely held interpretation of the US Constitution.

In a keynote address to the United Nations General Assembly on Monday to mark Nelson Mandela International Day, Prince Harry chose to condemn the United States for “contributing to a global assault on democracy and freedom.”

Today was a missed opportunity to focus on one of the truly great global leaders of all time, Nelson Mandela (pictured with Princess Diana).
They don’t play in the same league.
The speech was confusing and extremely offensive to the undoubtedly few Americans who may have been watching.
It’s hard to see why anyone should care what the Duke of Sussex thinks – let alone what he thinks about America.
He’s lived here for a full 20 minutes, but he’s decided that makes him an expert.
Being a duke (or duchess) means next to nothing in America. It confers nothing but perfunctory notoriety and social media clicks.
Just because you can’t agree with the outcome of a Supreme Court ruling doesn’t make it a threat to democracy.
If Harry had ever voted in a US election, he might have known that. But of course he didn’t, because he’s not a citizen.
The Supreme Court’s decision to overthrow Roe and return the power to determine abortion policy to the states is not a threat to democracy — it is democracy in action.
But this isn’t the first time Harry has completely misunderstood civil life in the country he now lives in.
“I want to say as much about the First Amendment as I can sort of understand, but it’s crazy,” he gushed on a podcast last year.
“I don’t want to start walking the First Amendment route because it’s a huge subject and one that I don’t understand because I’ve only been here a short time, but you can find a loophole in anything.”
That’s right Harry. Perhaps you shouldn’t be talking about the First Amendment or any amendment to this matter.
The exhausting thing about Harry is that in America it seems the Duke only signals virtue, lectures and taunts the Constitution.
Harry and Meghan Markel chose to apply for asylum here in the United States because – as they infamously told the world – the royal family was just too racist to put up with.
So they fled the horrors of spoiled royal life to live a spoiled celebrity life in a sprawling multi-million dollar mansion surrounded by the richest and brightest our country has to offer.
Perhaps he needs to be reminded that he is a guest here and not a guest generally accepted by the American public.

If the UK is a cesspool of racism and America is contributing to an assault on democracy and freedom, what is good enough, Mr. Prince?
So the following applies here: This is not your home country. In fact, my country went to war against yours so that we would never again have to be subjected to a royal lecture.
The American Constitution is a sacred blueprint upon which this country thrives. That makes democracy possible.
Finally, and probably most egregiously, Prince Harry is a hypocrite.
Like so many others who propagate the religion of climate change, he flies around the world in a carbon-spitting private jet.
He and his family flew back across the pond to attend the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee aboard a 13-passenger Bombardier Global 600 jet.
According to emissions experts, their flight emitted 60 tons of CO2 – that’s 10 times more CO2 than a commercial flight.
I find few things as tasteless and disrespectful as a foreigner living in another country and having the hubris to destroy it.
The question I have for Harry is: which country is good enough for you?
If the UK is a cesspool of racism and America is contributing to an assault on democracy and freedom, what is good enough, Mr. Prince?
Because the god-fearing, gun-yielding, constitution-loving, monarchy-hating majority of America loves it here.
Yes, we have some serious issues to deal with.

Anyway, I’m fed up with that and fed up with him. If it’s so terrible here and our condition is so terrible, feel free to leave. Canada could be a better fit.
But Harry can’t even solve the problems in his own family?
Why does he think ruining America can fix anything here?
Today was a missed opportunity to focus on one of the truly great global leaders of all time, Nelson Mandela.
The speech should have been a tribute to this man. But Prince Harry can’t help it.
He must get into his virtue signal. He needs you to know that he thinks America is a mess and that he is judging it from his lectern.
He doesn’t offer any solutions, mind you, he just delivers a speech and gets back on his private jet to head back to his California mansion.
Anyway, I’m fed up with that and fed up with him.
If it’s so terrible here and our condition is so terrible, feel free to leave.
Canada could be a better fit.
