Another could be heard screaming “What the f***” over and over as revelers tried to flee even though English didn’t appear to be his first language.

“I looked over my balcony because I knew straight away it wasn’t the sound of fireworks like other nights.
“I saw a lot of people running out of the venue.
“The police and ambulance arrived very quickly. I counted 18 police vehicles and at least three ambulances, but I believe one had already left with the most seriously injured victim.’
South African DJ Black Coffee, whose real name is Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, was among those scheduled to perform at Opium Beach Club last night.
A British expat who was among the revelers said: “There was an initial problem in the VIP area which bouncers sorted and resulted in one person being taken away.
“The shooting happened during a second incident about ten minutes later.
“They were swinging around these huge bottles of Belvedere vodka and the bouncers rushed back to try and clear it and then the shooting started.
“I was with my husband and he just threw himself at me because at some point the gunman seemed to be shooting into the crowd.
“There was a really crazy panic and everyone just rang for the exits. It was all very confusing.’
