
A six-month-old boy is killed in a Ford Focus crash as police arrest a female driver for traffic offences

A woman has been arrested after a six-month-old boy was killed in a two-car collision.
The incident happened at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday on Cherry Tree Avenue. The infant was a passenger in a blue Ford Focus that was badly damaged in the incident.
According to Essex Police: “A six-month-old boy was taken to hospital but unfortunately did not survive his injuries.
“His family is supported by specialized officials.

Essex Police are asking for information from anyone who was in the area at the time of the crash to get in touch, particularly if they have CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident (file photo).
“A passenger in the car also suffered minor injuries.
“A woman, not related to the child, has been arrested on suspicion of a range of traffic offences, including causing death by dangerous driving.
“She has been released on bail until next month and our investigation is ongoing.”
Essex Police have asked for information related to the accident, including anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the incident.
