EMILY PRESCOTT: How Secretary of Education Andrea Jenkyns achieved cult status as a child… by accidentally singing Moonies to an audience at a charity event
She’s now been promoted to education secretary, but Andrea Jenkyns clearly didn’t do her homework on the Moonies as a youngster – she was unknowingly signed up for the religious group, which is often described as a cult.
Andrea, who recently made headlines by pointing a finger at an anti-Boris crowd, recalls singing at a charity event as a child.
She later received a thank you letter from the Unification Church that made her an Ambassador.
When her mother noticed Church leader Sun Myung Moon’s signature, her family realized that Andrea had sung to an audience of Moonies.

Might be a wise decision. In 2019, all there was to talk about was Harry’s bare feet during the climate change speech he gave (after flying in by private jet) to an audience that included Leonardo DiCaprio.

Far from complaining about the chants and loud music of crowds opposing cricketer-turned Pakistani politician Imran Khan, Annabel’s former son-in-law, the 88-year-old dances to her music in her kitchen.
Imran was married to Annabel’s daughter Jemima for nine years.
