
Dominik Raab has suggested that self-funding tax cuts are not “credible”.
The Deputy Prime Minister spoke about the Tory candidate’s pledge Penny Mordauntwho wants to halve VAT on fuel – which costs £13billion – before drivers ‘buy more fuel’ to get the money back.
“I’d like to see some serious analysis of the self-funding tax cuts,” Mr. Raab continued Rishi Sunakprevious efforts as Federal Chancellor.
“I don’t think these alternative proposals are particularly credible.”
