He rushed Cher (seen at age 18) to the doctor, and when she got there she said she “screamed in pain.” She was then taken for emergency surgery
She did not share any further details about the incident or the other miscarriages.
Cher ended the tweet by asking what would happen to her if she were in this situation today as states in the US continue to enact abortion bans.
The 76-year-old welcomed two children, a son named Chaz Bono, now 53, with Sonny and a son named Elijah Blue Allman, now 46, with her second husband, Gregg Allman.
She was married to Sonny (who died in 1998) from 1964 to 1975. She then married Gregg (who died in 2017) in 1975, but they divorced after four years together.
Cher has been very open about her dislike of SCOTUS’ decision to award Roe v. Wade, especially as more and more stories surfaced about women being told they couldn’t have abortions, even in dire situations.
“Women will bleed and die while a group of old white Republican men decide what medical treatment you deserve,” she tweeted in a separate post.

“Red states force women to be close to death before receiving treatment.”
After the overthrow of Roe v. Many expectant mothers have reached out to Wade and spoken out about not terminating a pregnancy, even after being told the baby would not survive or that their health was at risk.
A woman named Chloe, 21, from Arizona, recently revealed on Instagram that she found out her baby was “incompatible with life” at 23 weeks pregnant.
She planned to have the fetus removed, but after Roe v. Wade was knocked over, she was told by her doctor that he was not allowed to perform the procedure because he still had a heartbeat.
This means she will now have to carry the baby until it either “dies inside her” or until she is born alone, although she claims it has seizures “several times a day” and has no chance of surviving if it is born .

The mother-to-be, who was 16 weeks pregnant at the time, was told her fetus had a ruptured membrane, a detached placenta and no amniotic fluid in the womb – but her heart was still bleeding.
Doctors said they could not perform an abortion, although Andrea’s life was in serious jeopardy due to the possibility of bleeding and infection.
She was later flown to Spain where she was able to obtain the abortion.
“Republicans will make American women prisoners,” Cher said in another tweet.
“Life as we know it is over. Women suffer and will either bleed to death while doctors look on or be sent home until their complications bring them close [death].’
