A British tourist reportedly drowned in a hotel pool in the Mallorcan resort of Palmanova today, according to reports.
The 53-year-old man is believed to have died this afternoon (Sunday, July 17) after fainting while swimming in the pool at the Globales Palmanova hotel.
The alarm went off around 4:30 p.m. today, but it was already unresponsive.

Mallorcan emergency services tried to revive the man, but unfortunately he was pronounced dead at the scene

Globales Palmanova is a short walk from the party resort of Magaluf, one of the island’s most popular destinations
Police and paramedics tried to revive him after they reached the scene and lifeguards took over, but were unable to save him.
He was pronounced dead before his body was taken away for an autopsy.
Civil Guard officers are now conducting a routine investigation and will prepare a report for a local magistrate.
It is not known whether the deceased was alone at the time or was accompanied by family or friends. He was not named.
The police could not be reached for a statement.
