In a September 5, 2010 article, “…fury when police seize car phone picture,” said Andrew Perry, a CPS attorney, may have disregarded court by making a presentation with an evidence photo of the footballer Jermain Defoe kept a mobile phone while driving before the case was heard.
In fact, the picture referred to a speeding case indicted by Mr. Perry, which had already been closed; a phone case mentioned in the article had not started yet. We’re happy to set the record straight.
