
A crew member is shot dead in an “ambush” attack off the set of NBC’s Law & Order: Organized Crime while in his car enforcing parking rules

The man, who has yet to be identified, was killed in an ambush in Brooklyn on Tuesday morning, the New York City Police Department confirmed.
The murder occurred around 5:15 a.m. in the Greenpoint area when the killer opened the door of the victim’s vehicle and shot him in the face and neck.
The victim, a father of three, was taken to Woodhull Hospital where he was pronounced dead. abc7 reported.
The male suspect was approximately 5 feet 4 inches tall, had a thin build and was reportedly wearing a black hoodie and black pants.
The video published in the Citizen apps shows the presence of the police in the cordoned off area.
“It was crazy,” said an emotionally distressed colleague of the victim The New York Post.

Christopher Meloni can be seen on the film set of Law and Order: Organized Crime in Greenpoint, Brooklyn on Tuesday, the same day a parking attendant was killed
The victim was in his vehicle at 229 N. Henry Street. He had a traffic cone on the roof of the car.
He was shot in the parked car where he was reserving seats for filming.
No arrests were made as part of the investigation.
In a statement to EWNBC confirmed the victim was a crew member hired by the network.

“We were deeply saddened and shocked to hear that one of our crew members was the victim of a crime earlier this morning and died as a result,” the statement said.
“We are working with local law enforcement as they continue the investigation. Our hearts are with his family and friends and we ask that you respect their privacy at this time.
